Peer Reviewing

Facilitates peer exchange and learning as students review each others’ writing.

In Robin Review, learners become each others’ editors. The web app facilitates the process for students to easily exchange their writings for numerous peer reviews and critiques. Each Robin Review room is framed by a common writing challenge, designed by the teacher/facilitator, that a group of students write towards.

CHUNKLETS

Writing transformed into manageable chunklets.

Pieces of writing are self-selected by students into smaller chunklets for others to view. Review is focused on the quality of certain elements of the smaller passage of writing (e.g. persuasiveness of thesis statement, richness of description, etc).

GAME-LIKE LEARNING

Engaging way to critique a series of peer writings.

Learners are both the reviewer and reviewee. After adding their relevant writing into a Robin Review room, a series of peer writings pop up in brisk succession. By collectively critiquing, comparing and commenting on writings prompted by the same writing challenge, students learn from each other.

Multiple Feedback

Easily see aggregate feedback from all reviewers.

Built into Robin Review are multiple, structured forms of reviewer feedback. Types include highlighting of significant sentences/words, evaluation on a customizable rubric, star ratings, and comments. At the end of a Robin Review room session, the learner see’s the aggregation of all their peer reviewers feedback. The learner may see patterns in how multiple peers responded similarly or differently to their writing.

CUSTOM CONTENT
